Volkheimer. I am able to raise, breed and show these wonderful dogs
due to the patience of my wonderful husband, Don and two stepchildren,
Nancy and Inde. If not for their support and understanding, I would not be
where I am today.
We live on 14 beautiful acres just north of Willow, Alaska. I am a small
kennel, breeding quality Pomeranians and now Hungarian Kuvasz. I
started in the Kuvasz breed, looking for a guardian dog to guard my
Poms from the Alaska wildlife.
My friend and mentor, Sharry Christianson of Artic Poms has been a true
friend and wealth of information for me. We have combined our kennels
and are producing show Poms with great movement, very sound, nice
boned and wonderful showy attitudes.
Our show Poms are multi Champions, multiple Group placers and self
producing. We breed a few litters for ourselves but occasionally have
nice show prospects for sale. We may also have some pet quality
puppies available. When puppies are available, it is to approved homes.
We consider our puppies as family and want them placed in the best
homes possible, whether show or pet.
My Kuvasz is a multiple Champion, multiple Group Placer, won BOB at
Westminster Dog Show in 2005 among many of her titles. Her first litter
has produced an outstanding boy that is very promising for the show ring.
And he is already learning his mother's job of guarding the Poms by
chasing birds away.
